How can i make my hair more strong, shiny and thick?

my hair is black

How can i make my hair more strong, shiny and thick?

Henna with egg yolk and tea water help. But that gives a brownish texture to your hair.To avoid that, use curd with egg yolk.Make sure you wash your hair with a nice smelling mild shampoo suitable for your hair type after that.

Also, get your hair trimmed after every 6 weeks to improve growth.

Olive oil massage will make your hair strong.

Try the above and get ready to handle all those compliments.Good luck!

How can i make my hair more strong, shiny and thick?

Wash daily. Try Panten Pro-V hair thickening shampoo. Also eat more healthy food, such as chickpeas (they really help your hair grow thicker!) and also brush everyday.

Do any of you ladies with thick wavy hair have a difficult time fixing it?

I have thick wavy hair and yes people say that they wish they had this kind and when i see girls with thick curly hair on TV, I want it! Ironic isn't it? See, my hair is thick and curly, until I comb it and then the wavy comes out. Either way, it's not smooth and shiny. I get my hair cut regularly and wash and condition it. What else should I do so that it can come out smooth and shiny?

Also, when I straighten it, it only takes most of the wave out. it is still not smooth and shiny--or perfectly straight! what do I do?

Do any of you ladies with thick wavy hair have a difficult time fixing it?

We were separated at birth, I think! haha I only tried to straighten my hair once and it was disastrous, just turned my hair into a fro, so I gave up on that idea.

What I usually do is brush and comb it out *before* I shower. I use shampoo and conditioner for curly hair, though I can't tell you any specific brand -- I tend to switch every so often. Sometimes it's Garnier, sometimes it's Dove, just depends. Every now and then I'll also use Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle stuff -- smells good and it helps tame frizz. After I get out, I'll finger comb through my hair to get out the tangles, and then put in Dove's Curl Conditioning Mousse. I normally hate mouse, but Dove's is really light and non-sticky, and it works miracles. %26lt;3 Anyway, then when it dries I've got light, bouncy, thick curls. Next day, I don't brush it -- again, I finger-comb through my hair to loosen up any tangles, then use Garnier's Smoothing Milk cream to tame the bushiness -- and, incidentally, it works better for me than Aussie's Sprunch Spray.

Moral of the story: don't use a brush on your hair after you get out of the shower. It'll just make you frizz up like crazy. Use a comb if you have to, but brushes are hell on thick, curly hair.

Do any of you ladies with thick wavy hair have a difficult time fixing it?

i have the sAME EXCACT PROBLEM WANT TO BE FRIENDS?

Do any of you ladies with thick wavy hair have a difficult time fixing it?

my hair is VERY thick and VERY curly. Let it be natural. I used to straighten it and it was more trouble than it's worth. I use TIGI Curls Rock curl amplifyer and then I add some mousse. Use a difuser when blow drying. My hair stays very soft when using those products and it looks shiny too. Try not to wash it too much because that can cause it to dry out.

Do any of you ladies with thick wavy hair have a difficult time fixing it?

Well I had the same problem and I ended up cutting my hair short, occupational requirement, but bofore that I would use shine serum, i like John Frieda, and then use a shampoo specifically made to protect from heat damage. i hope that helps. good luck

Wat should i use to scrunch my hair... and i have thick wavy long black hair?

Use loads of hair bands. Put ur hair in a pony tail then take on bit of it (a small bit) and just scrunch it on to the ponytail and then take anotha piece and scrunch that on the take another piece and scrunch taht on till u have none left...and then u could take one last hairband and put it ofer ur scrunchy thing...looks pretty good if u get it right

I have the same kind of hair you start with mouse then blow dry a little with a difuser then stop and scrunch with gel then blow dry a little more then finish it of with hair spray (Rave maximum strength) then keep blow drying until it is dry and keep scrunching while drying. use a difuser thats key!

Wat should i use to scrunch my hair... and i have thick wavy long black hair?

What I use is tressemme's straightening gel and I have thick curly hair. My stylist reccomended it since it has the action of a gel or mousse without the frizziness of it. Stuff works wonders! Also when I want more volume then I'll use garnier products. Hope that helps.

Wat should i use to scrunch my hair... and i have thick wavy long black hair?

I have the same hair too, if your hair already wavy u might not need to scrunch it, just wet it, or add some texturizing spray and spray it in your hair with your head upside down and fluff it and you're done

Wat should i use to scrunch my hair... and i have thick wavy long black hair?

What should i do if i cant layer my hair because its thick and curly?

I have really thick, curly hair and have it layered to thin it out and make it more manageable. Once layered I can wear it curly or straighten it much quicker. Just find a good hairdresser and spend some time explaining exactly what you want.

What should i do if i cant layer my hair because its thick and curly?

What should i do if i cant layer my hair because its thick and curly?

How can I tell if my hair is thin or simply fine but thick?

My hair is quite soft and will easily fit through the eye of a needle (internet test - crazy I know!) The ponytail circumference of my hair (excluding hair tie, measuring just underneath the tie) is about 3.25 - 3.5 inches. My hair easily gets limp and for optimum results should be washed every two days. Some people tell me my hair is thin, others say it is just fine. I am very confused. Can somebody please help????

How can I tell if my hair is thin or simply fine but thick?

you have very fine hair but thats ok

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

My hair is short and wavy with a short fringe up to my eyes''bebe''. . . its not very thick and i can straighten it relativly easily, but wen i do its always poofy and not sleek and thin!!! (my hair is layered).Any other suggestions except thinning it at the hairdressers?

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

Start washing your hair more often.

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

Get a japenese hair relaxer. The cost depends on what brand and how long you're hair is. It is roughly around $500 and down; it costs a lot , but it lasts about 1 year.

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

Use Herbal Essences Straightening Spray. Its 4 dollars and it works really well. After you finish straightening spray some on... make sure to shake the bottle first. My hair is thick and curly/wavy too. I hate it. This wont completely unpoof your hair but it will make it a bit less poofy.

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

put some product in it.

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

I have thick hair also, my hair also has a wave to it. I use a lot of conditioner to make it "lay down" and I straighten it with a Chi Flat Iron.

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

I would say go to a different place to get you hair done. They can do amazing things w/ any type of hair. Also be glad that it's thick and not thinning. One of my high school teachers started losing her hair. You could see her scalp in areas. I think that your just not going to the right place.

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

Maybe the products your using. Try S Factor by TIGI. It is great for sleek, shiny, smooth hair. Do you use a straightner?? That can always help.

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

You can use baby oil. Helps with my hair. I use pant pro v conditionair that also helps too and it keeps my hair from being too curly and too thick. And alway brush your hair when wet becuase if you wait when your hair dries your hair just spounges up. Hope this works for you as it works for me,

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

using a "shine spray" will make your hair appear thinner while adding an extra glow. Just spray it in after blowdrying your hair, before or after straightening (different products have different instructions).

HELP!!! I have thick hair . . .?!?

try to use a spray specialy made for when you straighten it your hair can get damaged when using heated tools like straighteners and curlers so shop around find a spray and apply alittle bit near the roots of your hair and comb out then straighten your hair it works for me i have the same problem........ if you can not find this spray try to tame ur hair my friend had a problem like this but every day she combed her hair into a sertain style and eventually it ended up straightening out on its own i hope i helped =]]

As far as the frizz factor goes there is a product by "I. S. O." called "Bouncy Cream". It will control frizz. It does work. I have natural curl myself and use the product daily. Will not leave your hair hard or wet looking.

"I. S. O." is not sold in stores only available in salons. Call the salons in your area and find out who carries "I. S. O."

I have medium-length, thick, curly, and frizzy hair, Any Hairstyle Ideas?

You should get a perm or striagten it . It all your choose

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

I pluck my hair just as someone would bite their fingernails. I sometimes have gone as far as making a bald spot in my full head of hair. Sometimes I look at my hair in the mirror and spot the thickest hairs and I just have to pluck them out. What is this condition and how can I end it before I go bald!!!

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

It's called Trichotillomania %26amp; it's an Impulse Control Disorder.

I used to do it as a child. There was a lot of stress %26amp; fighting going on in my family. I wish I'd been able to see a therapist for it then.

I've learned to recognize the signs %26amp; symptoms so that I can stop them before I get to plucking out the hairs, causing a bald spot. Stress or depression bouts set my hair pulling off. When I get the urge to pull hairs out, I find something to do with my hands. I'll pick up my crochet project, grab a pen or pencil %26amp; a spiral notebook %26amp; write or doodle, draw or get out my paints. The act of busying my hands with something else besides pulling my hair out calms me down. A lot of the times, I get so into the busy work distraction that I complete something I started the last time I had the urge to pull out my hair.

Below is a link to webmd.com's information about the disorder. I also found two other helpful sites.

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

You're welcome %26amp; thanks for the best answer choice. Report It

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

ewwwww

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

You may be suffering from obsessive/compulsive disorder. It would be a good idea to talk to a professional about your condition.

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

Neurotic Perfectionism with Physical Aspects.

You need to see a therapist, or a hypnotist.

.

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

Yeah i like the feeling of getting them at the root! it feels soooooo good. Lol. But I don't do my scalp hair-- try doing your eyebrows (or even leg hair if it's long enough-- that's just between you and me. hahaha)

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

i do that sometimes too, but i only pull out the really thick ones that grow on my shoulders. those are like black wires

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

you poor baby- stop it, NOW!!!

no one notices your thick hairs- they look at your boobs-

don't start yankin on those, either!!!

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

stop doing that otherwise u will become bald

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

eeewwwww

obsesive complsive are we..?///

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

Oh my gosh I do the same thing. I don't leave bald spots or anything but I pull single pieces of hair and if it's curly or I just don't like how it feels I pull it out. I thought I was the only one that did that. I feel sorry for you because I try and try to stop and I can't. Now I have constant headaches if I even touch my hair and I still do it.

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

My sister used to pull her eyelashes out, but I don't know what the condition is called. I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and I don't do things like that, but you definately need to get diagnosed from a professional. This is not normal thinking and should stop. Do not be ashamed to seek help for it, there are a lot of disorders out there and I'm sure you can get help. God Bless!

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

It could be some kind of obsessive compulsive disorder. Talk to your doctor, they should be able to help you out. ( I have ocd, but everybody's obsessions are different)

Untill then, keep yourself buisy whenever you feel the urge to pluck your hair.

Try knitting, beadwork, sculpting...something with your hands. Anything to keep your hands buisy.

I just have to pull out those thick hairs! Why!?

I used to do that and I realized it was a complete stress related thing..I had a nice little bald spot too in the side of my thick head of hair...I really just had to keep some sween cream on the spot..and so it would stop being red and irratated and keeping me picking...It is definately stress related..I would get so much relief from picking and pulling sheesh what a nut...I am glad I forced myself..(yes forced) myself to quit...it does grow back..

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-

HELP! I'm sick of taking a whole hour to straighten my hair! THANKS

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

I know this will sound kinda gross, but evenly spreading mayonnaise (if you can stand the smell) throughout your hair, kind of like a hair mask, and letting it sit for about 5 minutes then totally rinsing it out works wonders on frizz. Do this after you wash and condition your hair. It's also probably a good idea to use a leave in conditioner to improve your hair's texture and lock in moisture.

If you blow dry your hair, use an 1800+ watt hair dryer, preferably an ion or tourmaline dryer. Use a shine/smoothing serum on damp hair every time to protect it from heat (John Freida's frizz-ease is great stuff). Blow out your hair in sections, starting with the underside of your hair (closest to the nape of your neck). Point the dryer at the floor to minimize frizz.

Then you can use a straightener when your hair is dry (NEVER when your hair is wet, it's very damaging, and preferably not after you blow out your hair, to minimize heat damage). Look for a ceramic straightener, they are much gentler on the hair shaft and therefore cause less frizz.

Hope this helped!

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

use a sleek and shine shampoo

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

i had the same problem.

like, it looks as if there is constant static on your head.

but i got mine colored, which made it shiny and healthier. and I also got it layered, which made me not have to straighten as much hair. hair gets frizzy because its damaged and dry. you can get a deep conditioning, which is like $10, and it repairs dry hair.

but for straightening with an iron, make sure you use heat protectant, or else your hair will get more dry, and frizz more. but i use Herbal Essences "dangerously straight" and spray it on before i straighten, and it makes my hair pin straight. Its a type of hairspray, so it keeps it straight all day.

good luck.

=]

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

I guess it really depends on the shampoo and conditioner you use...I just dyed my hair, and the conditioner that comes with hair dyes has made my hair silkier and smoother then ever before, although idk how you'd go about buying that.

Also, I use a wet to dry hair straighter, so if you have one of those or would like to invest in buying one...then use it while your hairs wet and straighten in chunks, then once all over...it works really good!

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

um maybe get like a salon hairspray to keep it smooth and straight..

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

My hair is different it takes 15 minutes to straighten and its perfect. But my sister has the same problem as you. I would buy some shampoo/conditioner that pre-straightens your hair so it wont take you so long to straighten your hair. After you straighten you should buy bio-silk [not TOO much!] which helps your hair with controling poofyness and frizzyness. If that doesnt work try a wet look with moose!

good luck sweetie!%26lt;3 :]

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

first get a deep conditioner. garnier fructice has a good one. this will help is not be so frizzy and poofy[i have the same problem]

get a good ceramic straitner not ceramic plates or iron these frizz your hair also will your hair is dampput in some biosilk or any other straitning gel.

when you hair is dry use a heat protectant to prevent frizz

when you straiten your hair straiten small pieces at a time and go over the once slowly and a few time quicky.

you also want to try sunsilk products for dry hair this wil help out alot. and be sure to deep condition

hope i help[:

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

uhmm yah it takes me about three hours to starighten my hair =( yikes it sucks but it does come out good but then you have to deal with all the split and dead ends! the best thing to do is blow it out using a brush whne using your blowdryer! the worst thing to do is flat iron it forver btu also the sunsilk purple bottle you should use the conditioner shampoo and the massage cream it works realli good! also try other styles like scrunching it or just leaving it as it is!

My hair is straight, but it is thick and frizzy and poofy! any home remedies that will get it stick-strait?

maybe you should try thining out your hair. when I did it my hair wasn't that big of a hassle anymore! But don't thin it TOO much! best of luck! xoxo

I have lost my hair in the last summer and it has become thin. How can I make up my hair like a thic

try taking a multi-vitamin daily, or better yet, one that is good for hair skin and nails. Also, color your hair with semi-permanent color, a similair color to your natural hair color or a little darker.. This adds a coat to the hair strands and makes it feel, look thicker and shiny. Get a trim every 6-8 weeks. Eventually your hair will grow in like before.

TO HAVE THICK FAST HAIR, STRONG FROM THE ROOTS, DON'T ACCEPT HAIR LOSS. Dandruff is one big cause.

Use "Segals" Brand 'Advanced Shampoo for Thinning Hair' and 'Advanced Conditioner for Thinning Hair'. For strong and healthy re-growth of hair from roots with a better texture and to arrest premature Hair Fall use "Segals" brand 'Advanced Scalp Formula' and 'Advanced Hair Root Supplement'.

Revolutionary professional products based on rare (NATURAL) botanical extracts - Saw Palmetto, Biotin, Inositol, Rosemary, Fo-Ti, Kelp, Nettle and Silica. 100% safe. The faster way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made; that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

I have lost my hair in the last summer and it has become thin. How can I make up my hair like a thick one?

When it comes to having beautiful, full hair my best answer would be henna. Make sure you don't use lemon or lime juice in your recipe when you make the henna as they can cause your hair to break if it's already weak. Rain water is usually acidic enough to get a nice colour out of the henna as well and won't harm your hair further. Try using the henna as often as you can it should thicken your hair and keep it healthy. If you don't want the red of the henna you may want to look for "neutral" or "colourless" henna. It will do as nice a job for your hair but without the colour. With the neutral henna you just have to mix it with tap water, this should be used as often as possible. If there are any skin problems on your scalp the henna or neutral henna will both help fight it. The last idea I have would be to take coconut oil and massage your head with it every night. Make sure when you're washing out the oil you're using a gentle shampoo, even better a henna shampoo. I wish you luck.

I have lost my hair in the last summer and it has become thin. How can I make up my hair like a thick one?

Your diet should be rich in bitoin content (oats, green peas) and also massage your scalp and hair daily with olive or almond oil. It will enhance hair growth.

ATTENTION!!!! Mothers of children with thick curly hair---listen up?

I am so unbelievably excited to share good news for those of us with bi-racial and children with thick curly hair. My daughters hair turned into a complete NEST overnight. The humidity has skyrocketed and it became a frightening situation as her hair is all the way down her back and the nest began at the nape of her neck. In sheer desperation, I went to Sally's, haven for all hair products. As I am looking through the "ethnic" hair section, I realize that I HAVE almost every product there in a GIANT hair bin. I see a product that is NOT $12.99 a vial and it will require 4 vials to do HER hair, it is only $2.39 so I just descide to cut my losses and think of it as a value considering the money we spend on useless hair products. IT WORKED!!! Let me say that again, IT WORKED!!!. I do NOT work for ANY company and am not getting paid!!! I MUST share the news. Lustrasilk Aloe Vera Cholesterol , Super Detangling Formula! Put it on and let it sit for a couple of hours, then follow directions!!

ATTENTION!!!! Mothers of children with thick curly hair---listen up?

that is great news for you and i am glad you are spreading the word

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

hey, yea........it's me! so, another tip.....apply hair growth oil and stick to waxing!massage in oil and see the results in 1 month!and ya.it's me again. just use nara oil and massage in every oil. try using castor oil and massage it in at night and leaving it on overnight!

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

dont over pluck your eyebrows or they wont grow back, and dont pluck them from the top or you will ruin the natural line

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

don't wax your eyebrows for about a year and every two weeks just pluck some of the excessive hairs out with tweezers. Just let your eyebrows grow the shape that you want.

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

don't over pluck, and some people are genetically born with thick eyebrows

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

Don't know how, but what ever you do DON'T LET ANYONE TALK YOU INTO SHAVING THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

this is going to sound CRAZY but trust me it works. take a dab of super strength MEN'S rogain,, and place it ONLY on your eyebrows. the hair will grow thick and quick and you will be pleased with the results, but don't get it ANYWHERE else you do not want hair. good luck, and don't forget, do not over pluck :]

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

Ardell lash and brow gel. It helps them grow!

How do you grow thick nice looking eyebrow hair?

It is not possible to grow hair differently to how it wants to grow. You can make it thinner with treatments like laser and electrolysis but not thicker. You could have a transplant but that is very expensive. Make up is the only way to disguise your eye brows. Good use can make them look fuller but don't over do it as you will end up looking like a drag queen.

My hair is wavy and thick. Would long layers look good?

and if you think so were could i find some pictures of some examples.

My hair is wavy and thick. Would long layers look good?

if you mean not alot of layers... than probabily not. It would probabily look better to slim down the puffiness with lots of layers. I liked the way my cousin did it... I think she layered it more one the top to prevent the triangle look where it appears to be more puffy at the ends. I think it looks beautiful and easy to enhance the wavy look with mousse/gel and add some type of smoothing cream/serum to create more shine.

I find that it's pretty rare to find pics of models with wavy hair... it seems like the straight look is in... and most of the hair products out there is made to create the sleek straight look... personally I think the straight look is over-rated, I used to love it but once I know how to work with my waves I didn't like the straight look anymore and it was so much easier to take care of. People admire my hair.

Last time I had a haircut by a different hairdressor and i couldn't find a picture to give her an idea what I wanted so I just told her I wanted a trim... she ended up stylin' it straight with long layers which was ok... but then I cannot create the wavy look with it so I absolutely hate it now.

My hair is wavy and thick. Would long layers look good?

not really unless u want a puff-out! i wanted those to for a while... i have the same prob! if u wanted layers, u would have to straighten ur hair everyday or get it permanetly straightened!

My hair is wavy and thick. Would long layers look good?

get a good 400 degree straighner then yea

$200.00 mall, good luck.

My hair is wavy and thick. Would long layers look good?

that would look abslutly GORGEOUS!!! you would loook like (sometimes) Isla Fisher.... : - )

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

Doesn't have to be overnight, I understand that. But I'm just spinning my wheels here on what to do. I used to have INCREDIBLY thick hair, that was when I wore braids day in and day out. I even slept in braids. But now as I start to wear low ponytails, the volume seems to be getting normal again.

What shampoo should I use? What conditioner? My hair type is very oily, is this good?

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

Trust me, thick hair stinks! I have it and it takes FOREVER to blowdry so I have to take a shower at night so I'm not stressed in the morning. (about showering and blowdrying and getting ready to go.....) I use Herbal Essences Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner (seperate products) If you still want it. Good luck!

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

just eat stuff with vitamin e or take vitamin e pills they help your hair get really thick i use to have really thin hair until i did taht and now it is really thick. good luck!

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

you cant thicken your hair, just kinda make it seem like its thicker. any non frizzy volumizing shampoo could help

i reccomend suave and natural or organic products

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

I was told by an aesthetician that for thicker hair and nails to take a mineral you get at the vitamin store called Silica.

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

If u werent born with it, ur not gonna have it unfortunately. But maybe u should try blow drying it and not flat ironing it afterwards and maybe it'll be a little more fuller.

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

maybe try a new style and cut your hair short

that way, your hair will thicken

then use garnier frutis and it may get thicker, mine did

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

Oily hair can clump together, making it seem like you have less hair... so if that's a problem try a shampoo to help fight oily hair... Sunsilk's anti-oily one is cheap and it works...

But if your hair's oiliness is not much of a problem, there are many volumising shampoos and conditioners available. Or you can get a volumising spray.. I think PPS has a good one...

How do I get the thickest hair possible?

I have been taking hair supplements for the past 3 years and here is what I have found.

ProCaps labs makes a great supplement called "Hair Skin and Nails" formula, here is the link for that

http://www.procapslabs.com/pcl/pages/pro...

This is in capsule form and easy to swallow. This company, ProCaps labs is also extremely reputable and carries pure and effective products.

I took GNC's Nourishair for four months, and supplemented it with extra Biotin tablets daily due to its low Biotin content. I took 2500 micrograms extra Biotin with the GNC pills.

The Procaps hair vites have 2500 micrograms of Biotin in them, and don't really require extra Biotin be taken, but I do take an additional 2500 micrograms of Biotin for a daily total of 5000 micrograms of Biotin.

My hair is growing in thick and dark and quite quickly. My hair used to be very slow growing, but all of these supplements have really made a difference.

The only way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made, any shampoos or oils or other topically applied things do nothing to change hair's structure, that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

How can I get longer thicker hair?

I have permed hair and I used to have thick hair to my back until last year when I tried weave for the first time. It is no longer as long and I would like to get back to that. Does Mane and Tail really work?

How can I get longer thicker hair?

yes for my sister...mane n tail really worked to make the hair grow...but its no gonna grow over night...but i will warn you...the shampoo will make the hair grow...but the conditioner and shampoo all it does is leave a waxy coating on your hair...making it feel gunky and nasty....=[ so yeah. that might not be a good idea..my sister didnt even like the shampoo....but she only used it to make her hair grow...but im not doing that.

anyways...for thicker hair...well if your hair is naturally thick...then the new growth will be thick. but if your ends are thin...like the old hair is thin...there really is no way to thicken it...because its already grown out of your head and developed...its thin..just use a volumizing shampoo.

for new hair growth...take a multivitaminwith biotin in it...and get your protein....dont have too much protein thats bad...just about 6 oz of chicken is about the amount the normal person needs of protein. so yeah....your hair is protein...so of course you need protein, and massage your scalp everyday for 15 minutes. eat right and healthy...and uhm...thats about all....i will assume you know how to take care of your hair because you said it was down to your back.

sooo good luck!

How can I get longer thicker hair?

im not sure if main and tail works cause ive never tried it but i know of an accupreasure trick that is supposed to help and that is taking your finger nails and rubbing them back and fourth against each other. this is supposed to promote nail and hair growth .

Why is the hair on my face so thick? i'm a female i shaved but now i use sally hansen facial ha

my face broke out real bad it looks real awful. what can i do to stop the hair from growin? when i use the facial cream my face burns and strungs

Why is the hair on my face so thick? i'm a female i shaved but now i use sally hansen facial hair remover

Never shave it--it causes the hair to grow back course, kinda like the stubble a guy gets when he shaves. Aside from going to the doctor like someone mentioned ( could be a hormone thing) stick with facial removers or waxing. I know how irritating it is, but it may be in your genes. As a female, I also have unwanted facial hair growth that I take care of with hair removers. If you have the money, electrolysis is another option to permanently get rid of hair growth. Good luck!!

Why is the hair on my face so thick? i'm a female i shaved but now i use sally hansen facial hair remover

See your Doctor to see if you have a hormone problem.

Why is the hair on my face so thick? i'm a female i shaved but now i use sally hansen facial hair remover

Yes, excess facial hair on a woman is probably the result of excess hormones, like testosterone. It may be genetic as well. Sometime facial hair runs in the family (thanks mom!).

The only way to permanently remove facial hair is electrolysis or laser hair removal. Unfortunately it is expensive and takes many sessions to remove all the hair.

You can try to lighten the hair with a bleach rather than removing it.

Definitely see a dermatologist or you family doc to see about the hormones.

Does anyone know how to make thick and curly hair grow long faster?

prenatal vitamins!

Does anyone know how to make thick and curly hair grow long faster?

my hair is thick and curly im puertorican that explains it all and when ever i trim my hair i think it grows back faster and when i dont cut my hair i feel like it never grows after a inch or too try triming it

Does anyone know how to make thick and curly hair grow long faster?

A lot of my friends swear by prenatal vitamins and avoid soy products (they made my hair fall out). If you ask your doctor to prescribe prenatal vitamins for you - the ones on the Wal-Mart $4 list of drugs they sell; then you can get them a lot cheaper then regular retail prices.

Does anyone know how to make thick and curly hair grow long faster?

just take care of it wash it come it grease it though do not put any perms and thing s in it and it will grow faster.

u need to drink green tea! My hair has grown 7 inches this last year. GOOD LUCK!

Does anyone know how to make thick and curly hair grow long faster?

i have thick black hair and i want it to grow long too! so far, it like hasent grown at ALL... i went to my hair sylist and she said just DONT straighten it at all and then when you get it cut, you wont have to cut that much off the length because the ends wont be fryed! it works, but it takes pacience, which i really dont have. but this is the only really healthy way to do it.

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is natur

the best thing i can suggest is hair sirum. try getting freez ease by john freeda or the biosilk one (Thats the one i use). its very hard to not make it frizz and poof in the humidity, like you i have thick hair and i can straighten it til its perfect in the morning but the second i step outside to go to work -POOF!- my hair is up for the rest of the day. i hope you figure something out! do try the hair sirum though, it does help.

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is naturaly thick!

bring a personal hair stylist with you at all times. ive had the same problem my whole life. if you cant afford that then cut it all off. thats what i did. i went for the whole halle hair cut.

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is naturaly thick!

Use hair spray.

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is naturaly thick!

I have the same kind of hair. What I do is this. After I wash my hair I towel dry it very well, then I put hair oil in (I use Garnier fructise oil) and then I blow dry it all the way, then I use my ceramic straightener and the oil works for me, you just have to be careful of how much you put in you you'll have very oily hair.

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is naturaly thick!

ok! you dont need a personal stylelist just get garnier frizz control i had the same problem just put some in then straighten your hair i had the same problem i have long brown thick hair its soo hard to work with it try it it worked for me

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is naturaly thick!

my hair is naturally straight and thick...

Don't straighten ur hair too mucj coz wen it gets windy, it'll be poofy..

Avoid too much sun...Don't use hairspray.

Condition ur hair daily..

and drink plenty of water if u want ur hair to remain healthy and lustrous

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is naturaly thick!

use a straighting shamoo with conditioner.after washing your hair dry it in cold hair ,i.e with the help of a blow dryeror a table fan .thn use a hair serum 2 get the shine.and get ur haor cut into steps or layers this will help to decrase your hair volume nd will thus help you.

How do i keep my hair from not going poofy in the humidity after straightening it?! my hair is naturaly thick!

First thanks you for trying to answer my question and to answer your question, well summer is hard. I usually do not straighten my hair in the summer bc i think it's a lost cause but, i have actually straightened it the last couple of days as a weird thing. I haven't gotten the results i get in cold weather but at least i have it straight. So what i do is i do it [that is my hair] and then put it in a pony tail. I rather have sort-of-straight hair on a pony tail than my natural wavy, frizzy hair on a pony. Then i let my hair down on the 2nd day [that is if you wash it every other day] when my hair has gotten the 2nd day effect. What the 2nd day does is that it makes your hair heavier and sleeker on its own oils bc it is the 2nd day after you wash it so it is in the process of getting dirty but yet it is still clean. I do that and I am usually able to enjoy my straight hair in the 2nd day at least. I recently bought this product in Sephora called Dirt by Jonathan. What it does it is that it gives your hair the 2nd day effect right after you wash it. It works, my hair is not as poofy and frizzy on the first day after i have straightened it.

This was so long but hopefully i was of some help. Good luck with your hair.

My hair used 2 be thick nw its becum thin i wanna no how 2 make it thick again???

Hair problems can be from diet, general health, too much washing, too much styling product, even the wrong hair brush.

I would say take a look at what you are eating. Eat more protein, find vitamin combos made for thicker hair, and also try having Jello for dessert. The pectin and gelatin in Jello are great for hair and nails!

My hair used 2 be thick nw its becum thin i wanna no how 2 make it thick again???

Get pregnant. During pregnancy the women's hair becomes much thicker.

My hair used 2 be thick nw its becum thin i wanna no how 2 make it thick again???

Has your diet or weight changed dramatically? Are you taking any new prescription meds? Even something like surgury can cause thinning hair....my SIL had a gastric bypass and her hair became quite thin- partly due to dietary restrictions. So the hair loss can be caused by a health issue, or perhaps it's just a cyclical thing, or it could even be genetic.

My hair used 2 be thick nw its becum thin i wanna no how 2 make it thick again???

i don't know of many ways to get your hair permenately thick again but you can use styling products. try treseme root lifting spray. it works really good for me and it doens't leave your hair greasy.

My hair used 2 be thick nw its becum thin i wanna no how 2 make it thick again???

vitamins, being healthy, exercise. good hair products and, in the meantime, they make beautiful real hair extensions/ inserts/ weaves if you like :)

My hair used 2 be thick nw its becum thin i wanna no how 2 make it thick again???

well maybe your hormones are acting up and they do make hair thinner,

OR

maybe your eating poorly, try eating healthly foods(it does make a difference)

Not only that but exercising is a big key too, it help put blood flow to your head making the roots grow bit faster and healtheir,

Thats all i know, and it helped me, i hope it helps you!

What are the best curl enhancing products for thick, coarse African American hair?

I'm not African American, I'm actually Asian, but I do have very frizzy and thick hair. Since I used Pantene Smooth and Silky shampoo my hair has been a lot less frizzier. It's still a bit frizzy, but a lot better. Oh and I also got my hairdresser to make my hair a lot less thick, and it has really worked. you should really try that.

I have kinda thickish hair, but not too thick. How shoud i get it cut? I hav long bangs to the side

try getting just the ends cut off, then try and go to the salon, a regular trimming will help keep your hair healthy

Look at this page, I have a ton of really thick hair, too, but when I scrunch it, it's medim thickness, and has pretty, beachy-curls.

Also, before you scrunch it, put a little Frizz-Ease hair serum in.

try pulling the top half up in bobby pins or something after you curl your hair that way its not all sitting down on top of each other ... this way there will more of a layer look and not so poofy.

thats what i did with my hair for prom and it looked really cute

I want some loose curls for a wedding but i have alot of hair and its thick how can i get them to look nice?

You know how hair can be layered? well it can be thinned as well if you wantless hair to work with. Use a gel to tame your natural curls after you get out of a shower/bath. Good luck!

Question to get healthy/thicker hair?

If I used a shampoo for hair loss, would my hair become thicker/more healthy? I'm trying to make my hair as healthy as it can be :)

Also, what is the best shampoo/conditioner to use?

thanks :)

Question to get healthy/thicker hair?

DO NOT use hair loss cream for this.

It can seriously wreck your hair.

And just because your hair isn't thick, doesn't mean it isn't healthy.

I have very thin hair, but it's in top condition. :)

If you want your hair to be "plumpier" (I use this word because using this on your hair is pretty much the equivalent to using lip plumper on your lips...) I would highly recommend Kerastase Expanseur. It can be really expensive, though; I payed $42 CDN for mine. BUT, it repairs damaged hair by approximately 8% every time you use it! Therefore, it healthies your hair MAJORLY.

Hope this helps.

Why do beuticians charge more money for doing thicker hair , and longer hair?

i see females wit same length hair as mine ,but my hair is very thick, so i have to pay 10 dollars extra thats not fair my beutician said cuz my hair much to thick and take more work and time, should they charge like that,? have any other girlies had that problem before??? are am i being cheated??

Why do beuticians charge more money for doing thicker hair , and longer hair?

I think it is unfair too. But it does take more time to do someone with thicker and longer hair. That is why they charge more. I charge everyone the same price for haircuts, but when it comes to perms and nething chemical, I charge a lil more because it takes more product to do it.

Why do beuticians charge more money for doing thicker hair , and longer hair?

No, you are paying more cause it takes more time to work on you. Pay up.

My hair is really thick and wavy?

I don't have time to straiten it in the morning and even when I do it is wavy again in an hour or so. What could make it straighter that won't take very long?

My hair is really thick and wavy?

I used to have the same problem!!!! but i went out and bought that wet2straight straightener and it REALLY works. I also use tresemme heat protect spray, it makes your hair really shiny and feel really light. My stylist told me at one point that i had "600 pounds of hair" and when i use it, i can just run my fingers through it without getting knotted or anything! i love it and it protects your hair because that straightener gets REALLLY hot....be careful when you use it tho, make sure you have the holes for the steam on the top or else you will burn yourself. hope i helped!

My hair is really thick and wavy?

Blow dry it straight! Or ask a styilest for tips on it. Or try somthing else with it!

My hair is really thick and wavy?

let some1 help u blowdry ur hair

My hair is really thick and wavy?

My hair is thick and VERY naturally curly. VERY. I used to have the same problem and would take 2 or more hours to straighten my hair without satisfying results. Then I found my incredible solution. Its called wet2straight and i think its by remington. You just dry your hair with a towel after showering and get to straightening. Do it in levels, starting with the bottom. the heat will release the wetness in the form of steam, and your hair will be amazingly straight untill you wash it again. Just try it, its amazing. About 40$ but worth it. and it only takes me 15-30 mins anymore. I LOVE it.

My hair is really thick and wavy?

i've seen comercials for garnier fructious shampoo that is supposed to help. i have that problem too but i just tough it out and get up early to straighten.

My hair is really thick and wavy?

get a straight perm

Thick hair hairstyles?

i have thick hair and if i dont staighten it its a big poof ball and tangly.I'm growing it out right now but i was wondering like during the summer if it would look good if i cut it like really short? like a little longer than boy short BUT past my ears? uhmmm i'm wondering if it would not be poofy? or so much full of volume?

should i get the haircut???

Thick hair hairstyles?

It may get poofy so avoid cuts above the shoulder.

Layered hair is good for thick hair as it makes it appear thinner. Get a layered hairstyle that's just past the shoulder.

Thick hair hairstyles?

why don't u just let it be curly and to control the poof get lightly layered layers and have it thinned out deep condition it once a week and get hot oil treatments sometimes my sisters have natural thick poofy hair and u just got to let it be curly just learn how to keep it in control

Thick hair hairstyles?

Go for it, it sounds hot!!!

Thick hair hairstyles?

No i think you should just get lots of cute choppy layers..it will make it seem thinner and feel thinner but still look totally long and cheek!!

Thick hair hairstyles?

OMG i have the same exact problem.

i cut my hair right below my ears 10 years ago and it wasn't as curly but it was slightly poofier, since all the longer hair weighing it down was gone. if u wanna know how it would look just look at the first few inches of your hair, which isnt so curly.

in the end i decided to grow it out to my shoulders

Thick hair hairstyles?

I have thick hair as well, and when I cut it that length, even though it's strait, my head looked like a pyramid. I suggest a little shorter or a little longer, but ear length is really unflattering and takes a while to grow out.

Anyway to get thicker hair??

I have thin hair, its not majorly thn but i wish it was thicker. Is here anyway that soem product or anything could make it thiker??? besides hair extensions i am already saving up for slip ins of those lol if my dad will let me even get them.

Anyway to get thicker hair??

Try using Nioxin. It helps thinning Hair ... it should work out.

Try to find the adequate range for you in assess my needs

What types of updoes can I use for my hair since it's long, thick, and naturally pin straight?

I don't want any cuts! All I want are updoes (or other things), but I can't have curly hair because I live in Florida (with the humidity and all) and my hair can't hold up curls.

What types of updoes can I use for my hair since it's long, thick, and naturally pin straight?

with your perfect hair, you can do anything!

you have the easiest type of hair to work with...

find a picture in a magazine that you like and take it to a stylist.

I have thick, medium-long, slightly wavy, kinda frizzy hair.. What are the best natural hair product

best out of my hair? I have been straightening it a lot recently because if I don閳ユ獩 it is really poofy. And what is all this I hear about oiling your hair? I really appreciate the help!

I have thick, medium-long, slightly wavy, kinda frizzy hair.. What are the best natural hair products for the?

The best natural hair product for this type of hair (and really ANY hair) is a possitive attitude. Try thinking happy, possitive thoughts when you are in the shower and you will soon see the results.

I have thick, medium-long, slightly wavy, kinda frizzy hair.. What are the best natural hair products for the?

i have that same hair. try pantene or head and shoulders.

hot oiling you hair is basically puting bioling hot oil in your hair and washing it out after you shampoo. its a way to deep condition and it makes your hair softer

I have thick, medium-long, slightly wavy, kinda frizzy hair.. What are the best natural hair products for the?

I have the same hair type. Try a shampoo and conditioner that is designed for curly hair, Herbal Essences has some nice ones. But, definitely get "Garnier curling cream" it comes in a small jar and is only about 2.95. You only have to use a little so it lasts longer and it works great. After you take a shower when your hair is damp, you just put a little in the palm of your hands and rub your hands together to activate it and smooth on the ends of your hair. It tones down the puffiness and gets rid of the frizz. When your hair dries, it looks like soft curls.

I have thick, medium-long, slightly wavy, kinda frizzy hair.. What are the best natural hair products for the?

I hope you are conditioning your hair like crazy if you are still straightening it!! But if you want to stop, try the newer shampoos made for curly/wavy hair, like Vive and Sunsilk; I have coarse wavy hair and they really do make a difference!! just be sure to get the conditioner that goes along with it..it'll be a nice break for your hair..never heard of 'natural' products for wavy/frizzy hair, but these products will help you a lot....good luck!!

I have thick, medium-long, slightly wavy, kinda frizzy hair.. What are the best natural hair products for the?

My daughter has this same problem. My cousin, a hair dresser, got her Biosilk products from JC Pennys. They also have it at Sam's Club. The kit pack works well. It has a glazing gel and a silk shine product. Used with the shampoo and condition her hair was in the best condition ever.

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I need a good leave in conditioner. I have wavy/curly hair that is thick and sometimes frizzy and poofy.?

Aveda makes a great leave in conditioner, "Elixir Leave-in", and it's only $9. All of their products are great.

It sounds like you need a good daily conditioner too. And they have an anti humectant product too that actually prevents humidity to cause your hair to frizz. Go to your local salon and look for it. Or check out Aveda.com and find one near you.

Good luck.

I need a good leave in conditioner. I have wavy/curly hair that is thick and sometimes frizzy and poofy.?

garnier has a good leave in conditioner =]

I need a good leave in conditioner. I have wavy/curly hair that is thick and sometimes frizzy and poofy.?

Check out Biolage products by Matrix. They have great products for thick and coarse hair. I use their ultra hydrating shampoo and conditioner. They also have a leave in conditioner you could try: Biolage daily leave in tonic or Biolage hydra seal leave in creme.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

I am facing this problem since long and I have tried Lolane, Glatt etc.But it seems straight when the hair is wet.But when my hair dries, my hair will again be very curly.

Please find me the solution.Thanks

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

A flat iron. Men use them too. they work great, but don't put the setting too high cause it can damage you hair...fry it and make it frizzy. Use it after brushing your hair while blow drying. Go to your local hair salon and they will give you special products to keep your hair healthy. =0)

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Sleep with your head in a bowl of soy sauce.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Curly hair is great. I think it is always best to work with what you have rather than trying to change it. It will be a never ending process. Instead, find a good hairdresser that can cut it to lay right.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

You can go to saloon for treatment to get sraight!

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Don't make it straight! Keep it curly! Just use a product that makes it soft and embrace it!

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Use hair straighteners.

I know girls use them but I know lots of guys that use them.

Buy some cream that will help straighten hair.

Wash your hair, towel dry, then rub in the cream, then blow dry the hair and then straighten it.

If you dont have straighteners use your moms or sisters.

Or buy some.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

go to rite aid..walgreens..or some similar place.. go to ethnic hair products section for people of color and get a relaxer. buy according to hair texture... normal.. regular.. extra strength. get help.. you do not want to go bald. just read directions thoroughly and do not leave in long.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

curly hair is just great but if you want straight hair .. and you find it annoying to use the straightener maybe you should buy one type of liquid that use to straighten your hair for quit sometimes.. but you hair might be quite dry after that

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Only thing I can think of is hair straighteners. I know girls use them but some guys do too. But then again your hair might be really short, so go and ask at your local salon.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Try to keep long hair. In the long hair rub coconut oil, wet it and dry it with hair drier. Don't take much onoin with food because it contains sulphur and curling hair consist of a sulphur containing protein in isomeric form.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

F CORSE STRAIGHTEN IT!!!!!

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

curly hair is cute on guys. if you get a hairstyle that suits you.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Hi,

I would suggest not to go to the treatment salon for straight hair because then your hair would have faster result of breakage, which is not healthy at all,you could probably get some straighting shampoo and conditior. and also comb out your hair 2 times in a day with a paddle brush that would help.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

hello,

i honestly feel u should not go for straightning ur hairs let it be natural it has its own beauty and very few people get it .only thing u make them soft by applying egg on it as a conditioner and make it managable it has its own advantage u need not comb now and then

How many cells thick is an average human hair?

No current details.

Please provide a source if you can.

How many cells thick is an average human hair?

Human hair varies considerably in thickness; however, 100 micrometers is generally taken as the average.

Cell sizes vary, too, but the average hair cell is 10 micrometers across.

On that basis, I'd say the average human hair is about 10 cells thick.

How many cells thick is an average human hair?

Hair is made up of an cuticle and an cortex unless you bleach and over process your hair the the cuticle may be striped and your left with just cortex

sorry I dont have any sorces just trying to remember what I could from cosmetology school

How many cells thick is an average human hair?

i'll take a stab.

you can have about 4 cells on tip of a pin head.

how many pinheads thick is an average human hair?...;-)

wait...i found something...

Your body is made of about 10 trillion cells. The largest human cells are about the diameter of a human hair, but most human cells are smaller -- perhaps one-tenth of the diameter of a human hair.

How many cells thick is an average human hair?

Don't know!

Does long hair look got if ur hair is thin or thick?

I have thick hair and i wanna grow my hair long and i dunno if it will look good since my hair is thick.

Does long hair look got if ur hair is thin or thick?

Thick hair looks MUCH better long. Thin hair looks kind of, well, skanky. (Not trying to offend anyone-- just my personal opinion.) But it all really depends on the shape of your face, and your personal preference. I have very thick hair, and I'm growing it out. I love it long, but sometimes long hair is just a pain in the ***, when if you have short hair, it is a lot more manageable. Your choice. :p.

Does long hair look got if ur hair is thin or thick?

The longer your hair, the thinner it will look.

Does long hair look got if ur hair is thin or thick?

Long hair looks better when it is thick. Thin hair isn't very pretty as long hair. Your thick hair will look great long, and you can do so many different things with it - different long cuts and layers. You're lucky.

Does hair grow faster or more thick once you cut it?

No. it grows the same.

Does hair grow faster or more thick once you cut it?

YES.

Edit: shoot, I cut the hairs off my chin and now they are like 12 feet long.

Does hair grow faster or more thick once you cut it?

nope its stays temparate or the shorter it is the less strait it is beacuse it dose not have weight to hold it down
