Thick hair hairstyles?

i have thick hair and if i dont staighten it its a big poof ball and tangly.I'm growing it out right now but i was wondering like during the summer if it would look good if i cut it like really short? like a little longer than boy short BUT past my ears? uhmmm i'm wondering if it would not be poofy? or so much full of volume?

Layered hair is good for thick hair as it makes it appear thinner. Get a layered hairstyle that's just past the shoulder.

why don't u just let it be curly and to control the poof get lightly layered layers and have it thinned out deep condition it once a week and get hot oil treatments sometimes my sisters have natural thick poofy hair and u just got to let it be curly just learn how to keep it in control

No i think you should just get lots of cute choppy layers..it will make it seem thinner and feel thinner but still look totally long and cheek!!

OMG i have the same exact problem.

i cut my hair right below my ears 10 years ago and it wasn't as curly but it was slightly poofier, since all the longer hair weighing it down was gone. if u wanna know how it would look just look at the first few inches of your hair, which isnt so curly.

in the end i decided to grow it out to my shoulders

I have thick hair as well, and when I cut it that length, even though it's strait, my head looked like a pyramid. I suggest a little shorter or a little longer, but ear length is really unflattering and takes a while to grow out.
