Does shaving off hair on the head lead to thicker hair?

My sister has thicker hair than me .My parents got her head shaved when she was young.

Does shaving off hair on the head lead to thicker hair?

No. Your head only has so many hair folicles and it may seem like it's thicker when it comes back in, but that is only because the ends are blunt. As your hair gets longer the blunt ends wear off and your back to the same hair as before. Trust me I was dumb enough to try it and it doesn't work. Besides you'll look funny for quite a while. Hope this helps!!!

yes

Yeah but it'll grow back coarser and rougher.

Technically no it just feels thicker because the hair is cut so bluntly... Trust me I have the back of head shaved with a 3 guard every 4 weeks and it isn't any thicker...

yea, try waxing if you want to get rid of it.

If you are shaving your head because of damage it is a good idea. I had to shave my hair off because of a bad perm and color. It grew back thicker and healthier because I took better care of it. Leave in conditioner and quality products.....always works!!!

Does shaving off hair on the head lead to thicker hair?

Absolutely not

it may seem thicker because the ends are cut straight across giving them the illusion of being thicker. Also, you will be starting completely anew so your hair will be in excellent condition and may look healthier as it grows in. I shaved my head and was pleased with the condition as it grew out. It takes time to grow back so make sure you can handle waiting for several months

yea, but... it would be rougher.. and it wont have the healthy look u know wut i mean

but u can eat a healthy diet and get healthy nice hair that way..

first of all

vitamin e is good for the hair

it is moisturizing

and vitamin a

is good for the scalp

and healthy hair growth

protein makes ur hair grow faster than anything else because

hair is basically made of protein

so

eat eggs.. and dairy products

yogurt, milk, soymilk, and tofu are great examples

be sure to take lots of protein if u want thick hair because hair is made of protein!!!

citrus fruits are also good for the hair.. and seaweed has a lot of vitamin a. vitamin a can be found in leafy veggies and carrots, especially. it is important to drink enough water to keep ur hair hydrated. 8-10 glasses is suggested for healthy hair growth. also, iron plays an important role in maintaining and growing healthy hair. iron brings oxygen to the hair, allowing it to breathe like us basically

(not the same way obviously)

and so if u dont take enough iron.. ur hair will be starved of oxygen and lose its shine, luster, etc.

b vitamins are also great for the hair. salmon, coldwater fish, and sardines are great fish that contain many of the vitamins hair needs.
