My hair seems to be so thick and every time i take a shower it always gets spongy?

And it looks like a big wig or something like that and it only looks the way i want it all straight and sleek once it gets dirty. so i want to know if there is a product to make the spongy feeling go away

Use Mayonaise like conditioner. Massage it into your hair, let it sit while you shower, then rinse it out before you are done.

That means your hair is very unhealthy. You need to CUT IT. Use only a good salon shampoo/conditioner. I also suggest you deep condition once a week. I use Redken AllSoft. I also have enough hair for 4 people or more.....

It sounds to me like you have wirey or frizzy hair. You can try some anti frizz products like John Frieda Frizz ease, get the shampoo and conidtioner and the serum. That will help. If those don't work you can go to a salon and get it relaxed or there's that japanese straightening treatment that can be done too, but it does damage the hair.

I can tell you is you want soft sexy frizz free hair.

Get a haircut that suits your face. Ask your hairdresser what kind of cut would look good on you. If you want to update your hairstyle, get some streaks or highlights put in!

Every 6 weeks, have the ends trimmed off your hair. This gets rid of split ends, and helps hair to hang smoothly and grow well.

When washing your hair in the shower: wet your hair thoroughly and massage in a shampoo right for your hair type. Wash your hair twice with the shampoo, then rinse well and apply a conditioner.

Put on lots of the conditioner and then comb through your hair *while in the shower*. Do this for 2-3 minutes.

Rinse off the conditioner.

Apply an anti-frizz cream, which you can get from most supermarkets and drugstores. Comb through your hair again once the anti frizz cream has been rubbed in from roots to tips.

Use a blow dryer to dry your hair well, brushing through it as you do so.

When your hair is completely dry, use straighteners to make it sleek and straight! Your hair will look amazing if you do all of these steps properly!

Warnings

Use a heat protection spray before using straighteners so that you don't damage your hair.

Never towel-dry your hair, this gives you split ends, knotty, damaged hair.

I have thick spongy hair! I live in Houston Humidity capitol of the world and on a hot sweltering day my hair will look like a fright wig! I manage my tresses with a chi Flat iron (you can find them on ebay) and a Clairol ceramic big barrel curling iron. After a shower and towel dry my hair I put Frizz-ease serum on my hair- not too much just enough to cover my hair from root to tip. Then I section it in 4 parts and run the chi flat iron down my hair, at the end I curl the tips with my big curling iron. It takes about 30 minutes and the results are wonderful. I can actually put my hair behind my ears and run my fingers through it! I wash my hair daily or every other day and if I don閳ユ獩 wash it I will just touch it up with a curling iron the next day! Try it you will be amazed!
