I wouldnt think so..contact a groomer to see if he/she has any ideas.....also your pups hair just might be growing slower..but i wouldn't cut it

Pick one of the littermates instead. Trimming the fur does not change his genetics.

Hi, you cannot really tell at this point in your puppies life whether it will have thick or thin hair when it grows as it still has his puppy coat, though the others appeared to have a thicker coat that dosent really mean much at the moment, my puppy billy had a thick fluffy coat now it is a lot thinner and my Rosie had a thin coat and hers has gone thicker with age, As he gets older his hair will change a lot, I wouldn't recommend shaving at such a young age as they feel the cold.

What type of dog is he? Bless Id just leave him be see what happens after all it makes him just that little bit more special then the others as he is different!

take care xx

its genetics not grooming that determine hair thickness.

No it will not.You really can't tell much about how a pup will turn out looking at 4mos. of age.
